Why xurumque I seeing this? Uploaded on Aug 7, Pages 5 Duration Don’t worry about the key change. The wind ensemble version of this piece that Whitacre wrote is in C minor as well. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the original piece in E as opposed to Eb?
I am an amateur pianist, so I don’t know some of these things. The original piece is in E with 4 sharps in the key signature.
Lux Aurumque (Light of Gold)
Though it’s easier to play in flats on a low brass seet in my opinionso I transposed it to Eb. Glad to know you like it.
My one suggestion would be that E Minor can be a little annoying for low brass, so I would recommend using the transpose tool to transpose it to Eb Major. But seriously, beautiful work! I love this piece!
I have changed it though, thanks for the suggestion. There is a noticeable difference in the texture, and I’m not sure if it takes away anything. You can also experiment with all sorts of sheeg signatures to see what works best, and what you feel feels right.
